Caring for destitute children in Sri Lanka

Health

A safe and stable home to help them grow and thrive: healthy and nutritous meals, personal toilietries, clean clothes and shoes, care for medical and physical needs.

Love & Faith

Loving care in a family-like enviroment. Bringing them up with good moral character. Re-defining their self worth as precious children of God.

Education

Securing a brighter future through education. Enrollment in good local schools, help from private tutors, support with homework, vocational training.

What is MCH?

Maranatha Children’s Home was founded in 1997 to provide care for orphan and destitute children in Sri Lanka irrespective of race, religion, caste, and gender.

We currently house 45 children, ages 4-20. We have both a boy’s home and a girl’s home, which is unique in Sri Lanka. This allows brothers and sisters to stay together instead of being separated.

We raise the children with dignity and moral character. Our prayer is that each child would come to know the love of Jesus.
